Empty Nest Syndrome

The excitement of going live for both our clients and the studio is palpable. It’s graduation day! And then it’s out there, and there is less communication between us and, in this case, W2 Design Build.

We trust they are thriving, enjoying their wings fully, and this pleases us to no end. But that felt sense of loss is slightly present. We are so satisfied to have been an integral part in Robert Keith’s launch and look forward to seeing his business and creativity grow.

And yet, we sigh.

Okay, here’s a metaphor that begins to help frame this experience for us: A set of Marfa and Presidio Planters, gifted by the client, are now a part of our home and await patina. Patina… beauty that occurs only after the passage of time.

Nice.
