Core Desired Feelings

You want to work with us. You reach out. Then we speak for the first time. In this call you’ll share with me your desire for building a brand and reasons for wanting a new website designed. My interest is piqued. I’m taking copious notes. And respond with the questions: “How do you want to feel?” and “How do you want to work?”

Take a moment—whether you’re reading this sniffing around for a design studio, or you’re here recreationally—begin to form an opinion from these prompts:

“How do you want to feel?” and “How do you want to work?”

Me?

I want to feel creative, helpful, potent and valued. I want to work effectively and elegantly.

I hold my feelings, and yours, as a priority when setting off to design. They are our baseline. Sure, your audience, deadlines and budgets are present, but it’s not the well-spring, the Source.

I want to feel creative, helpful, potent and valued. I want to work effectively and elegantly.

The Desire Map asks the same of you.

This morning, the multi-media launch of Danielle LaPorte’s The Desire Map went live. I will share more about the design of this robust project in a future post, but for now, one sliver of the roll-out absolutely represents elegance and effectiveness—the gift certificates. Luckily, how I want to feel in my work dovetailed with how Danielle wanted her gift certificates to behave: like a smart, beautiful gift.

So? How do you want to feel? Reach out, let me know. We’ll begin there.
